The bacterial microbiome and resistome of house dust mites in Irish homes

Antimicrobial resistance genes (ARGs) were found in both mites and dust, encoding multi-drug resistances. No significant correlations were observed between the microbiome and resistome of mites and dust samples, and no significant difference was found between homes with and without antibiotic use history.
